Grundsätzlich sollte man immer bedenken, dass hinter einem Leberfleck/Muttermal Hautkrebs (Melanom) stecken kann, was möglichst im Frühstadium erkannt werden sollte. Da sie sich auch mit der Zeit verändern können, muss die Überwachung von einem Arzt regelmäßig erfolgen. Das ist jedoch nur dann möglich, wenn es nicht übertätowiert wird.
Zusätzlich muss man auch damit rechnen, dass durch das Tätowieren zur Verletzung des Muttermals kommt, was sich wiederum negativ auf die Ausbreitung des Melanoms auswirken kann (Entartung).
Deswegen, wenn man ein Tattoo in einem Bereich plannt, in dem ein Leberfleck/Muttermal sich befindet, hat man folgende Optionen:

a: Aussparen
Es wird um das Muttermal tätowiert und es wird ein Abstand von 1-2 mm gelassen, damit das Wachstum durch einen Arzt jederzeit kontrolliert werden kann.

b: Geschicktes Motiv
Man wählt ein Motiv aus, bei dem das Muttermal nicht stört, d.h. liegt außerhalb des Motivs bzw. ist in das Motiv geschickt/unauffällig integriert.

c: Entfernen des Leberfleckes
Das Entfernen eines Leberfleckes durch einen Arzt ist normalerweise unproblematisch. Nachdem die Stelle vollständig abgeheilt ist (am besten vorher von einem Arzt kontrollieren lassen), kann bedenklos drübertätowiert werden.
